
Policy: Workplace Discrimination, Bullying and Harassment
This standalone policy covers key information and important concepts around the different forms of workplace discrimination, bullying and harassment, including sexual harassment.
Discrimination, bullying and harassment is unlawful under various federal and state based legislation. Further to this, the recent changes implemented under the new Respect@Work legislation, now places a positive duty on employers to prevent workplace sexual harassment, sex discrimination and victimisation. Therefore is it is highly recommended that employers take a proactive step in implementing this policy into their workplace.
In addition to implementing this policy, both employers and employees should also receive training and further education on these key concepts to understand the new responsibilities placed on them. Allan Hall HR’s Positive Workplace Behaviour and Prevention of Discrimination, Bullying and Harassment training workshop complements the roll out of this policy.
